Whitesnake is a British rock band formed in 1978 by David Coverdale, after his departure from Deep Purple. Known for their blues-influenced hard rock and powerful ballads, Whitesnake achieved commercial success in the 1980s with hits like "Here I Go Again" and "Is This Love." Their self-titled 1987 album was a massive success, propelling them to international fame. Despite numerous lineup changes, the band has maintained a strong presence in the rock scene, blending catchy melodies with Coverdale's distinctive vocals, and remains a beloved act in classic rock history.
